Structural Drying
Setting equipment is easy. Proving the structure is dry is the part that matters, and the part you should ask any company to show you.
What a drying log is
Every day the equipment is running, we take readings from the affected materials and from unaffected material of the same type in the same building. The second set is the target. When the affected material matches it, the structure is dry.
Daily moisture logs while the equipment runs, pre and post remediation air quality logs, and independent laboratory air spore results.
Dry is a reading, not an opinion.
Why equipment sitting there is not progress
Fans in a room are not a drying plan. Without readings there is no way to know whether the equipment is doing anything, when to move it, or when to stop, and no way for you or an adjuster to see what happened.
How the job runs
- 1Establish drying goals from unaffected materials
- 2Set air movers and dehumidification to the loss
- 3Log moisture readings daily
- 4Demobilise only when the readings meet the goal
